Likando Kalaluka, SC, FCIArb is the founding partner of the Firm. Having been the Attorney General of the Republic of Zambia for over 6 years, he possess a cocktail of experience in public and constitutional law, legislative drafting, public - private partnership, energy and mining agreements and disputes. He also has wide experience in various areas of law including commodity trading, media and franchising, energy transition, commercial and competition/anti trust law.
He is a member of the African Arbitration Association, a Fellow at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of Arbitra International. He is also a panel member of the Beijing Arbitration Commission/Beijing International Arbitration Center (BAC/BIAC), and admitted to the panel of Arbitrators for International Investment Arbitration. He also has experience in arbitration in both domestic and international arbitration, involving the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) International Court of Arbitration and the UNICITRAL arbitration Rules. He also has experience in investor state mediation.
Bumbe Nsongela Simbaya is a dedicated Lawyer who values proffessionalism, performance, relationships, integrity and quality. Her keen interest in statutory and policy review enabled her to become skilled in Legislative Drafting. She is experienced in handling matters pertaining to Labour Law. Her other areas of experience are in Corporate and Environmental Law. Additionally, she is experienced in handling administrative and company secretarial duties.
Kimberley Chota Kaumba is an associate in the firm. She is an efficient and meticulous litigation lawyer with a strong trait of paying attention to detail. Her profound interest lie in human rights as she strives to bring justice to those in need. Her other core abilities include managing secretarial work, scheduling meetings and taking down minutes and other work related to company secretarial functions. She is also very passionate about corporate and conveyancing law practice.
Elias Sapwe Simfukwe is an Associate in the Firm. He is an innovative lawyer with a passion and dedication to justice and has profound interests in Constitutional Law and Commercial Litigation. He is adept at drafting and reviewing policies, preparing for trials, reviewing documents and effectively presenting cases in court. His other areas of practice include client negotiations and dispute resolution. Additionally, he has a significant experience in Conveyancing, Human Rights Law and Employment and Labour Law.
